Bio

DD Fuego is a multi-hyphenate artist originally from Monterrey, Mexico currently based in New York City. In drag she is best known for her appearance as a contestant on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 18 where she placed first (out). You may also recognize her from Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ if you didn’t blink during Sonjarita’s Drag Bingo Holiday Party in 2019.

Before becoming the most famous and beautiful woman on TV, DD had a long life behind the scenes as a director/designer for stage and screen, with too many credits Off-Broadway and as production designer for Billy Eichner's Emmy Nominated 'Billy on the Street.'  DD is also known for her collaborations with fashion icon Betsey Johnson, with whom she developed the Flame Heels, available now.

The message (it’s in the name! f.u. ego) is simple: joy, love, and inclusivity for all, and it takes the shape of all-encompassing experiences like producing original shows, music, works in photo and video form, and physical creations for sale on ddfuego.com where you’ll find hats and shirts, a children's book, even a candle– Spicy Margarita scented, of course!

The work as a fashion designer/clothing creator is almost accidental and out of necessity, but has led to creating for drag queens like Lemon, Monet X Change, and Kandy Muse and work on projects for Chappell Roan, St. Vincent, and Doja Cat. But the most difficult client? DD Fuego.

You can find DD Fuego performing around the world (book her!), and in NYC some Fridays at ‘Reinas’ the all-Latin drag show at Hush Bar alongside Pietra Parker, Fonda Koxx, and Freeda Kulo.

On YouTube you can find her own interview talk series, ‘Deep Dives’ alongside ‘Behind the Heat’ which is an in-depth series about the making-of process of her looks. For more, and less, follow everywhere @ddfuego.

The first season of the interview talk-show "The DD Fuego Show" was performed and recorded live at The Q in Fall 2022, videos now on DD's YouTube Channel. "Crush Wednesday" at Hardware Bar starring DD Fuego and Skye Walker featuring Lemon and Elektra Lite performed for 5 years at Hardware Bar in Hell's Kitchen.

DD Fuego is the artistic name of Daniel Dabdoub.
